One Last Breath in Depth

Brandon Menard

Vocals

Grandson of two-time Grammy Award Nominee’ D.L. Menard: Brandon Menard may have musically taken a different path than his grandfather, but his love of music and passion for performing remain true.

The small town rocker grew up singing everything he could mimic from the time he could stand, eventually falling in love with the 90’s wave of pop-rock and grunge music. Brandon began singing publicly at age 16, and playing guitar soon afterwards. Moved by the passionate vocals of singers like Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty, Scott Stapp of Creed, and Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam; Menard began writing his own music with the sole purpose of creating meaningful songs that strike the heart of even the eclectic listener.

Menard went on to front Lafayette, LA based Hard Rock bands Abrupt and Everbreath, digitally releasing three albums and a trio of singles over the course of 2007-2020. While Everbreath still continues, Brandon can’t help but pay homage to the music, the songs, and the beauty of what hooked him to begin with.

Dustin Kidder

Guitars

Dustin Kidder is from Crowley and has been playing guitar for 20 years. You can see him rocking out with the bands One Last Breath and Apollo’s Crows. He cites a wide range of influences from artists like Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Davey Knowles, Mark Tremonti, Steve Vai, and Slash.

With that list, you can expect him to fully capture the essence of Mark's style and sound. This project has been a long time coming. He's Ready...

Are. You. Ready?

Blake Meche

Drums and Vocals

Blake Meche has been passionately playing drums since the age of 12, bringing energy, precision, and raw emotion to every performance. His drumming style is shaped by a wide range of influences, including Creed, Deftones, The Used, Blink-182, and Slipknot—blending powerful rock rhythms with dynamic versatility.

Currently the driving force behind the drums for One Last Breath, Blake’s rhythmic foundation fuels the band’s sound with both intensity and groove.

With years of stage experience and a deep dedication to his craft, Blake Meche continues to deliver hard-hitting performances that captivate audiences and elevate every project he’s part of.

Michael McLaughlin

Bass and Vocals

Mike is a rhythmic chameleon whose playing bridges the gap between classic rock foundations and modern heavy metal precision.  From thumping Motown soul to the driving precision of modern metal, he cites a wide range of legendary influences, including the aggressive fingerstyle of Steve Harris (Iron Maiden), the melodic complexity of Geddy Lee (Rush), and the grooves of James Jamerson (Motown)

A true bassist’s bassist who serves the song while possessing the technical facility to mimic nearly any genre.

His own style closely mirrors that of Brian Marshall. With that natural fit, he provides that other essential part of the engine along with Blake Meche.
